Trash and Recycling

The Saddle Ridge annual assessment covers the cost of weekly trash and recycling pick-up.  The  trash and recycling building is the small barn with the set of double doors on Chilhowee Loop Road.

Trash
Trash pick-up is on Mondays, normally in the early morning.  Household trash should be placed in leak-proof tied bags and placed in the building as late in the week as possible, preferable Sunday evening.
  • Place bagged trash as far to the rear of the building as possible. Do not leave trash outside of the building.
  • Close the door securely and double check to make sure the door is tightly latched so bears and other wildlife cannot get to the trash.

Recycling
Area on the left
  ~   Broken down (flattened) cardboard

Bins on the right - put the recyling in tied garbage bags

Please do not leave the following at the trash barn:

~  Large trash items such as building materials and furniture or paint and chemical cans, etc. They must be disposed of at the Blount County Landfill - 240 Long Powers Rd, Friendsville, TN 37737, (865) 995-2892.

~  Glass. The Blount County Recycling Center accepts glass. The on-site glass mill takes  the glass, pulverizes it, and transforms it into products used for Blount County road work.
